Course Description

The Pre-Thesis course in the Master of Chemical Engineering Program aims to prepare students for their thesis research process. In this course, students will be guided to formulate a research proposal that is comprehensive and in accordance with high academic standards. Students will also learn how to identify research problems relevant to the field of Chemical Engineering, as well as formulate clear and measurable hypotheses and research objectives. They will also be encouraged to conduct an in-depth literature review as the theoretical basis of the research to be carried out. The final output of this course is a research proposal that will be submitted as their thesis topic and presented in the pre-thesis examination.
