Program Sarjana (S1) Teknik Kimia Internasional
Program Sarjana Internasional di Departemen Teknik Kimia Universitas Indonesia (program double-degree) telah dibentuk antara Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia dan Department of Chemical Engineering Faculty of Engineering Monash University, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Curtin University of Technology.
Program Sarjana Internasional (“International Class”) mempromosikan pendidikan teknik yang berkualitas melalui kerjasama internasional di mana mahasiswa belajar pada dua institusi, dua tahun pertama di Departemen Teknik Kimia Fakultas Teknik Universitas Indonesia dan dua tahun berikutnya di Australia. Setelah menyelasaikan studi di Australia, mahasiswa memperoleh gelar Bachelor of Engineering dari universitas di Australia dan gelar Sarjana Teknik sekembali ke Fakultas Teknik setelah memenuhi persyaratan tertentu.

Lulusan program studi teknik kimia adalah “Insinyur Universal” karena mereka mempelajari dasar-dasar rekayasa seperti termodinamika, kinetika reaksi dan perancangan reaktor, proses pemisahan, serta peristiwa perpindahan (momentum, energi dan massa). Lulusan departmen teknik kimia UI telah berkontribusi di berbagai bidang berikut: energi (industri minyak dan gas bumi), kontraktor rekayasa (rancang bangun, pengadaan, konstruksi dan uji-coba operasi), industri kimia (petrokimia, bahan kimia ruah dan khusus), riset dan pengembangan proses dan produk kimia, pengolahan dan sintesis produk makanan dan farmasi.
