Course Description

The Green Industry course has a scope related to policies, green process engineering, process efficiency including raw materials, water, energy and machinery (OEE), circular economy, waste management, process industry life cycle, GHG emissions and their carbon footprint (LCA), green management and green industry standard certification along with case examples in Indonesia.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the concept of Green Industry in the process industry.
  • Describe the factors that influence process and machine efficiency.
  • Rationalize the matrix used for green industry evaluation.
  • Evaluate the life cycle of the process industry.
  • Understand green management as a factor influencing the implementation of Green Industry.
  • Understand the importance of green industry standards and analyze the results of their implementation in industry.

  • Water Use Efficiency

    • Principles and practices for reducing water usage in industrial processes
    • Water conservation strategies and wastewater treatment solutions
  • Energy Use Efficiency

    • Energy efficiency principles in industrial processes
    • Technologies and practices for reducing energy consumption and increasing energy savings
  • Green Economy and Circular Economy

    • Understanding the green economy: principles of sustainable economic growth and environmental protection
    • Circular economy concepts: reduce, reuse, recycle, and redesign to close the loop of production and consumption

    • Overview of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and its role in process optimization
