Course Description

The course on Electricity, Magnetism, Waves, and Optics covers topics related to electricity, magnetism, waves, and optics. Students can actively practice integrating their understanding of fundamental concepts, analytical skills, and computational abilities while studying mechanics and thermodynamics. Throughout this course, students will not only enhance their understanding of basic physics concepts but also improve their skills in using information technology and computers, as well as develop their interpersonal and behavioral skills (soft skills), such as the ability to work independently and in groups, and communication skills. Participants will also practice explaining and analyzing natural phenomena and human-engineered results in their environment using basic physics concepts and applying them to everyday life. Additionally, students will develop their ability to synthesize and evaluate both qualitatively and quantitatively the natural phenomena and human-engineered results in their surroundings using fundamental physics concepts.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Apply quantities, units, and fundamental concepts of static electricity (C3).
  • Apply knowledge of the concepts of magnetostatics (C3).
  • Apply knowledge of the concepts of dynamic electricity (C3).
  • Apply fundamental concepts of electromagnetic waves (C3).
  • Apply fundamental concepts of optics (C3).
